Considering the importance of cardiovascular and MS ( Multiple Sclerosis) diseases and increased attention to control these diseases, psychological factors play a significant role in the genesis, prevention, and treatment of mentioned diseases. Accordingly, the current study aimed at investigating and comparing Type D Personality and Sleep Quality in patients with MS, cardiovascular and normal individuals. This is a casual-comparative study. The sample was selected using convenience sampling in Dey General Hospital and Iran MS society located in Tehran, Iran. 90 individuals participated including 30 patients with cardiovascular disease, 30 with MS, and 30 healthy individuals. The Type D Scale-14 (DS14) and Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index ( PSQI) were used to collect data.  Data were analyzed using ANOVA, and  Tukey’s test ( Tukey HSD) to figure out differences between two sets of variables. The results showed that there was a significant difference between Type D personality and sleep quality of Patients with MS and cardiac diseases and normal individuals )P≤0.01). There was no significant difference between Type D personality and sleep quality of MS patients and Cardiovascular patients( P≤0.01). Based on the obtained results patients with MS and cardiovascular diseases experience more sleeping problems and problems related to Type D personality than normal people. Accordingly paying attention to these two factors among other effective ones is suggested to deal with the genesis, prevention, and treatment of these diseases.
